FWA Safari by Blotch

Another piece I guess I never uploaded (I suspect it's safe to now, as DragonCon has come and gone.) This was commissioned back in July by the folks of FWA (http://www.furryweekend.com) for use on the interior cover adspace in DragonCon's convention book. FWA's theme this year is Safari, so I figure... what would furries go see on safari? ;] I was sort of hired on last minute and only had a couple of days to get the piece done. I wish I could have had a bit more time to work on it, but, I say that about most things.

Well, I did a sketch of him in the past, but it was a horrible injustice. This was a study of mammals, and raccoons specifically, that I did tonight in about an hour, mostly making changes to the head a lot, and then the hands. His limbs are stubby, but maybe within allowable limits. Suggestions?

Terun the lightning for God and truth asked me to draw a dragon w/ pterodactyl wings... After four pages of scraps I finally got one to look right! Now I just have to do his(with a background and all that good stuff!) XD

This is Sornal's uncle Goss (Hard "g" like "gum" rhymes with "moss") showing a bit how the previous generation of his family had more bird traits. Goss was much younger than his sister (Sornal's mother) and never very mature, so he was like Sornal's older brother more than an uncle, when he was alive.

My first try using the same technique as Dark Natasha. I'm really grateful that she explained so many things to me and encouraged me to try new media ... Well, the shoulders are too narrow and the scan messed up the white fur, but hey ... better than nothing. Trying to scan red fur is always like hell ... For sale at EF 14 Artshow.

Another night where I didn't even try to go with the suggested theme. I just wanted to draw the Pecker birds having fun. Of course the first thing said upon showing the picture was "Hey regular pecker, guess what? SHUN!" and surprisingly that's when I realized the double entendre I'd made. It's a sixth sense, I tell you.

Music listened: Virus movie soundtrack - End Credits, Resident Evil - Hospital Time Taken: in avarage: 1 Month This is my newest character Jawehr Sigfried Koch. He is actually didn't wanted to be a nazi SS officer, just for a current and strong reason. Even in this pic you can't see his eye on his right side, I tell now he has a blue eye naturally. That kind of blue, what makes each people fear whoever just take a look at her from face to face. No wonder why did each of his classmates feared from him when he was child(ling). He is the only one who can stop every evil activity at the world. He has't got any pain... He hasn't got any feel anymore... Eventually... He lost himself. There are some terrific stories about Raven. I'm rather fond of the one in which he impersonates a selfish chief's grandson in order to steal the sun, moon, and stars -- just to release them to the world. He's a bit like Robinhood, or some other such socialist. :)

Diadexxus asked about a fursuit concept sketch for a kangaroo/raccoon cross, so I did a more finished-up sketch for her while trying to think of something to draw over at Higgins' place. Also a quick doodle of Bosco, a bear suit concept I'm toying with.
